Xiaoya Gao

Ph.D. Candidate in Economics
University of Toronto

I am a Ph.D. candidate in Economics at the University of Toronto, and I am on the 2026–2027 job market. I work on behavioural economics, microeconomic theory and experimental economics. I am also the Manager of the Toronto Experimental Economics Lab (TEEL).

I’m particularly interested in incomplete preference. My current research studies the elicitation of incomplete preference in experiments and the association between incomplete preference and different behaviours in different domains.
